GEOPAK Drainage has been imported into a SUE model of drainage network. The same 2D cell library is being used SUE that was used with the GEOPAK Drainage.
Problem 1:
Rotation of the SUE nodes is different than the original GEOPAK nodes.
Solution:
For each different node, GEOPAK measures rotation from due North to determine cell placement. In contrast, SUE measures from due East in the active DGN file. To resolve this issue, in the 2D cells representing the nodes, orient the cells so that the “front” of the node is facing East. In addition, the alignment line direction should also be East.
Problem 2:
The SUE nodes are shifted by random amounts from the original GEOPAK nodes
The shifted coordinates are caused by slight differences in the way SUE and GEOPAK use the 2D cell library. Because of these differences, the SUE nodes will be shifted by a vector measured from the location point defined in the 2D cell to the cell origin. To resolve this problem, move the elements in the 2D cell so that the location point is at coordinates 0,0.
