Problem:

When attempting to use the Place Profile Note command to annotated features, the feature name is not displayed properly:

Solution:

The most likely cause for this issue is that the Placement Mode in the Settings for the selected note is not set correctly.  From within the Place Profile Note command, highlight the note you are using, and select Settings.  On the Settings dialog, ensure that the Placement Mode is set to "Element".
