Question:

When I linked my active feature definitions, OpenRoads reads one of my styles as a linear type feature definition instead of a surface type. How does OpenRoads assign the feature definition types and how do I change it to the correct type?

Answer:

When InRoads links a native file to the feature definitions, the software analyzes different attributes related to the style and determines the feature definition type based on these attributes. In the event that the wrong feature definition type is assigned, simply right-click on the feature definition name in Project Explorer and select "Convert to...".
