&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Answer:&lt;/strong&gt; One of the easiest ways to show the design surface that falls under the existing ground is to create a Clipped Terrain.&amp;nbsp; To see how to create a clipped terrain, view this article: &lt;a href="/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/17434.video-terrain-model-clipping"&gt;Video: Terrain Model Clipping&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
