Question:

I have assigned a Priority 1 and Priority 2 point control to a point, why does the point not find the Priority 2 control if the Priority 1 does not exist at that station?

Answer:

Priorities in point controls work a little differently than they do in end conditions. For end conditions, the command attempts to solve each priority until it is successful.

For point controls, however, the priority simply tells the program which point control to use in an area where station ranges overlap. Only one point control will ever be considered for a point at each station, so if the point has two controls assigned for a specific station, the priority will tell it which one to use. If the point control with the higher priority can not be solved at that station, then the point controls fails to be applied.
