This factor is obtained from projection tables corresponding to the area within the zone where the line was measured. This is also commonly called the grid factor.</p> <p>Multiplying a measurement by the Slope Distance Scale Factor allows the user to perform a grid to ground conversion upon import. The Slope Distance Scale Factor applies to horizontal distances, which include arc lengths, tangent distances, chord lengths, radii, stationing, offsets, and slopes/gradients.</p> <p>All horizontal distances in InRoads are specified as ground values.
