Cross sections run perpendicular to secondary alignments when intersecting them instead of staying perpendicular to the centerline of roadway. When the program runs the sections, the template seeks the secondary alignment, finds it, but instead of continuing perpendicular to the roadway, the section turns (perpendicular to whatever secondary alignment it finds) and continues to the next secondary alignment, then turns perpendicular to that secondary alignment and continues to the offset distance set up for the sections.
You want to keep the point control, but you do not want to designate it as a secondary alignment.
Secondary Alignments are set in one of two places:
1. In the point control dialog, the user can toggle ON or OFF the Use as Secondary Alignment for each point control
2. In the Roadway Design, they can select Corridor>Secondary Alignments and add chains to the list.
