Copy InRoads Project Defaults from SS2 to SS3+

    Product(s): InRoads
    Version(s): 08.11.09+
    Area:  InRoads Files
Original Author: Chris Key, Bentley Technical Support Group

    Problem:

How can I import the  InRoads File > Project Defaults from SELECTseries2 into SELECTseries3 / SELECTseries4.

    Solution:

    1. Export the Project Defaults from SS2 to create a .reg file.

    2. Open that .reg file in notepad or word to make edits to it and change the path where it is going to store the default paths.  For the Project Default exported from SS2, the area circled in this project default would say “8.11.7”. This needs to be changed to 8.11.9 and save the file.  Don't change any paths of the actual files, just these lines which reference the HKEY_CURRENT_USER path in the registry.

    3. In InRoads SS3/SS4, go to Project Defaults and Import the edited .reg file.  It will add the information to the correct location in the registry.
