    Product(s): InRoads
    Version(s): 08.11.07+
    Area:  Superelevation

    Question:

How can you export superelevation from one corridor and import the superelevation into another corridor?

    Answer:

To accomplish this, use the following steps:

    1. In Roadway Designer, set the active corridor to the one you wish to copy the superelevation from. Select Superelevation > Superelevation Report.

    2. Choose either "All Processed Stations" or "Specified Interval" to report on. In the Available Superelevation Points list, select the left range point and the right range point. Click Apply.

    3. When the Bentley Civil Report Browser opens, select the style sheet SuperelevationASCIIImport.xsl. Be sure to read and follow the instructions in the Style Sheet Help.

If you have trouble creating the report, please refer to the following article for troubleshooting:

    4. Save the report as as text file.

    5. In Roadway Designer, set the active corridor to the one you wish to copy the superelevation to. Select Superelevation > Import Superelevation from ASCII.

    6. Name the Section, define the crown and range points, and browse to located the file that you created in Step 4 above. Click Apply.
