Problem Description:
Create Horizontal & Vertical alignment in MXRoad, Inroads, Powercivil, then by using Open Roads Technology, Civil Tools > General Geometry > Import Geometry, both horizontal and vertical profile as well.
Go to Horizontal alignment hoover on it, the horizontal allows civil rules to be used i.e. you can get the manipulators with the horizontal. But when you open view for profile, you will see the message "Profile 'Vert' contains too many elements for civil rule creation" or Profile 'Vert' is too complex for civil rule creation. Hence No Manipulators available for Vertical Alignment and unable to edit it.
Causes:
Used circular method to create vertical alignment
Exceeds the elements Limits of vertical alignment.
Solution :
While creating Vertical alignment in MXRoad, Inroads, Powercivil, vertical alignment should defines the vertical curve with Parabola Method. Once you select Parabolic, amended the geometry in the ALG file to change the definition to parabola, you will able to get Manipulators in vertical alignment in Open Roads Technology.
