Question:

When displaying the Stationing for an alignment through the View Stationing command or Drafting notes, how can you change the display of the station format?

Answer:

The general setting for station format is located under File > Project Options > Units and Format. This value specifies the station format used when alignment stationing is displayed in dialog boxes and in the drawing file.

Many commands allow this format to be overridden for that individual command.

Under the View Stationing command it is under each different data type branch (General, Regular Stations, Cardinal Stations, etc.) where you can adjust the format.

For the Drafting Notes, you select the 'Settings' option on the right to access the format options for the notes. You can adjust the Station formatting in the same manner.

Answer:

There are multiple formats which can be set to view the stationing, so how does each one appear when you select the format? The following example is displaying the station at 12345.679 on the alignment. Starting top to bottom, you can see how each is formatted. The brackets are showing the values in the station format that WILL display.
