This video demonstrates the steps to create a mask table and save the same. The masking control provides a pull down list of functions related to masking and can be found on various panel.
Types of Mask drop down option explanation :
1. Include string - strings having the same partial string name are included for processing.
2. Exclude string - strings having the same partial string name are excluded from processing.
3. Include subreference - strings having the same partial subreference are included for processing.
4. Exclude subreference - strings having the same partial subreference are excluded from processing.
5. Interpret as point strings - strings in a model which is to be triangulated are interpreted as point strings, ie, do not have links between the points.
6. Interpret as linked strings - strings in a model which is to be triangulated are interpreted as having string links.
7. Create bearing discontinuities - strings in a model which is to be contoured and having the same partial string name cause a bearing discontinuity to be inserted in a contour when it crosses the string. This is useful when a contour crosses a designed surface.
8. No bearing discontinuities - strings in a model which is to be contoured and having the same partial string name do not cause a bearing discontinuity to be inserted in a contour when it crosses the string. This is useful for level strings.
9. Exclude all others - exclude all strings not covered by a mask.
