Background: This panel enables you to create a triangular-shaped traffic island at a junction which provides a safe place for pedestrians to stand and marks a division between two opposing streams of traffic. You can define the design of the traffic island by selecting a style file. You can create a new traffic island style by editing a current style and saving it with a new name.
The traffic island parameter window shows a picture of the traffic island and various boxes for specifying the dimensions of the traffic islands.
If you tick the Show Details box, you will see further details appear at the bottom of the window. Here you can give a description of the island you have dimensioned and the kerbs details. Once you have saved your traffic island style, or you have selected one of the standard traffic island templates, select OK and the island will be positioned about your junction offset from the fillet.
