Question 4: Does having a license of OpenRoads Designer allow me to use a license of MicroStation for free?
Answer 4: No. OpenRoads Designer is built on the MicroStation platform, and allows the use of MicroStation functionality within ORD. However, this does not mean that a user has a separate/additional MicroStation license. A user can open ORD and use the MicroStation commands within ORD. Starting a pure MicroStation session will require a standalone MicroStation license.
Question 5: Are we able to install and run the stand-alone version of OpenSite Designer without being charged extra?
Answer 5: No, OpenSite Designer stand-alone is not included in an OpenRoads Designer license. See OpenSite FAQ.
Note: OpenRoad Designer needs to be explicitly on contract in order to access the legacy applications noted above. SELECT Open Access alone does not entitle these licenses.
