OpenRoads Designer Survey Link Codes and TXT file Import

Question:

I am having problems bringing in the survey code. I believe I do not have the correct format of survey text code. Also, what is the correct format (what does the txt survey code need to look like) to bring in the survey code?

Answer:

To bring in survey data using the Survey>Field Book>Import>Text Wizard (see below), you could also import via Explorer>Survey Data.

The Features in Red have not been added to Feature Definitions as indicated when hovering over the gold circle in the design file.

The Alpha Code SW assigned to point number 503532, displays properly because that Code does exist in Feature Definitions.

At Explorer>OpenRoads Standards>Survey Settings>Settings (Properties)>Linking Codes Section>Linking Codes, the browse button (see below) will open LinkCodes.

LinkCodes

Based on this TXT file, it consists of Point Number, Northing, Easting, Elevation, Code. LinkCode 1 and 2 are used to Start and End a feature.
