When initializing the Application Add-Ins through Tools > Application Add-Ins, the program will hang and eventually crash. This is only affecting the SS2 product at this time as we tested in SS4 and the command will initialize without an issue.
This could be an issue related to a Microsoft Windows Update which removed a required prerequisite or supporting file for our SS2 products. As a solution, install the Prerequisites for Bentley Desktop Applications to reinstall the necessary prerequisites and the tool will open without crashing. As windows is updating and suspending support for certain DLL parsers we see these type issues arise with some of our older legacy products. Installing the prerequisite pack will get those necessary files on the computer.
The prerequisite file to install is the pdba08110706en.exe.
