Problem:

When launching Rail Track or Rail Track Suite SS10, the Applications menu does not appear in the MicroStation menu and the Rail Track Explorer does not open?

Solution:

Edit the "RailTrack.3.1.cfg" file located here C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\MicroStation\config\appl, and define the INROADS_PATH variable as shown below.

INROADS_PATH=${registryread{"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Bentley\Rail Track(SELECTseries)\08.11.09\PathName"}}

(Note: This INROADS_PATH variable occurs twice in the cfg file, so replace both instances.)
