Problem:

I have selected the OpenRoads Modeling > Geometry > Common Tool > Complex Redefine tool and it will not let me select my alignment. I get the message, "Invalid Element For this Command: Embedded Complex are not supported."

Solution:

This message is due to multiple complexes being complexed together to create a single complex element. This type of element is not supported by the Complex Redefine tool. To be able to use this tool, you will first need to use the OpenRoads Modeling > Geometry > Common Tools > Simplify Geometry command to simplify the rules. Review how this tool works before implementing it here: "What is the simplify geometry tool?". Once you simplify the geometry, you should be able to use the Complex Redefine tool.
