Questions I received from a user interested in migrating to OSD. Thanks!
Does OpenSite or OpenRoads have the InRoads Survey capabilities? (i.e., it takes field data and automatically maps the linework, and dynamically updates as you manipulate the fieldbook data.)
This is critical - is there something similar to InRoads COGO Classic "map check" function? If not, is there another product that does have it?
Does either program have something similar to InRoads horizontal annotation where I can plot out a number of alignments with bearing/length or curve data and if it doesn't fit, it will automatically create line/curve tables?
We use the Trimble SX10 - is there easy integration between that and the Bentley software?
Does the point cloud capabilities include the capability of auto-recognition of things like building edges and overhead lines?
How easy is it to export design info such as centerline coordinates or property boundary coordinates to a text file (to be uploaded to the survey instrument)?
Will we be able to import the InRoads .alg and .fwd files into OpenSite or OpenRoads?
Will we be able to import InRoads .dtm files?
