When trying to work with "Subsurface Utilites" in OpenRoads Designer, a following error is shown:
"No database has been found in the library definded by the SUDA_SEED_FILE variable in the workspace that you are using."
SUDA seed file is actually a library (DGNLIB) that contains all the hydraulic design information you need to start a new drainage design. For practical reasons, it will usually be the same DGNLIB file that contains the definitions of drainage and utility networks. The hydraulic seed file is in fact a fully functional drainage project that is copied to a new DGN file when a Subsurface Utilities or StormCAD command is used for the first time in a new DGN file. The program needs the SUDA_SEED_FILE variable to find this DGNLIB file (the variable contains only the path and name of the DGNLIB file). The variable is determined separately for each workspace, and if you have created a new workspace (or are not using any workspace at all) this variable may be missing (which will cause the error). But you don't have to develop the DGNLIB file yourself, it is provided with the program within the "Training and Examples" workspace.Do the following to solve the issue:1. Change the workspace to "Training and Examples" when starting the program 2. In the search field, please type "Configuration variables" to open the window with variables3. Search for the SUDA_SEED_FILE variable and copy the path to the folder containing the DGNLIB file4. Start the program again to return to your previous workspace5. Create the SUDA_SEED_FILE variable with the path copied in step 3. from the "Training and Examples" workspace
