Question:

How do I resolve this message "Other Sheet models of this file is linked in different sheet index: .dgnws \ "?

Answer:

You are receiving this message because a sheet within this dgn is included in a different dgnws from a different project/workset. A dgnws can have multiple dgns assigned to them, but only one dgnws can be assigned to a dgn. You will have to either:

1. Open the dgn within the newly create workset. Open the Model dialog. Select the sheet(s) in the list. Right click > Remove from sheet index. Now try to add them to the Sheet Index in the new workset.

2. Open the dgn within the workset that matches the "old" dgnws. Edit the Sheet Index to remove the Sheets contained in that dgnws. Now you can open the dgn in the other workset with the new dgnws and add sheets
3. Open the dgn within the "new" workset. Run the key-in "file disassociateworkset". Close and reopen dgn. Be sure not to do a File > Save Settings. Now you can add sheets to the "new" dgnws file.
   1. If that didn't work... Copy the dgns to a local location. Open the dgn locally and run the key-in "file disassociateworkset". Close dgn. Copy them back up to ProjectWise.  Now you can add sheets to the "new" dgnws file.
