How do I use a 1x1 tabulation to align an object in a sign within OpenRoads SignCAD?
Sometimes it is not possible to position an object where you want it in the sign panel using the left, center and right alignment options. A 1x1 tabulation can be used as an empty placeholder to move the object's position within the panel to the desired location. In the sign below, the 1x1 tabulation will be added to the row with WEST to push the text right so that it is centered over the 32 shield.
1) Pick the Arrange tool and left click on the workspace to bring up the Tabular Arrangement dialog box. Pick Type: Tabular with 1 column and 1 row. Press OK.
2) Select and drag the 1x1 tabular arrangement and place it to the left of WEST in the sign. Let go of the mouse when you see the blinking vertical line next to the W in WEST.
3) Right click on WEST and pick Object Spacing from the floating menu. Set the Left = 24 and press OK. Notice that the spacing triangles for WEST and the 32 shield line up indicating that both objects are centered over each other.
4) Pick the Select tool to turn off the arrangement lines.
