Resource fonts in the SignCAD MDL

The Highway and SignCAD font files (ttf) as well as the SignCAD font resource files (Signcad_plus.rsc and SIGNCAD.rsc) are provided with the following Bentley applications:

NOTE: A valid license of at least one of the applications listed below is required on all machines that use these fonts.

OpenRoads SignCAD

• The SignCAD resource font files are located in the C:\OpenRoads SignCAD\Ustn\CONNECT folder along with the other files needed to load the SignCAD MDL.

• The SignCAD Highway TrueType font files are located in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder as well as in the C:\OpenRoads SignCAD\Fonts folder.

OpenRoads Designer

• C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE 10.10\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Civil Default Standards - Imperial\Fonts folder.

Here is a list of the font translation numbers used in the delivered SignCAD RSC files.

ProjectWise

• The Highway font files (ttf) and SignCAD font resource files (rsc) can be included in a folder within ProjectWise or setup within a custom Configuration Setting Block (CSB) for your workspace. Set the MS_FONTPATH configuration variable to the folder where the ttf and rsc files are located. It is recommended to copy the ttf and rsc files to a Corporate or District level folder that all projects look to. Include the OpenRoads SignCAD.cfg in the CSB for your workspace to define the location of the SignCAD MDL files.

• NOTE: If the SignCAD workflow does not display after loading the SignCAD MDL, then open the OpenRoads SignCAD.cfg file located in the OpenRoads Designer appl folder in Notepad.

  If the MS_GUIDGNLIBLIST > $(OPENROADS_SIGNCAD_USTN_CONNECT)SignCAD Ribbon.dgnlib line is commented out (has a # before the line), then remove the # before the line and save your changes.
