Video: Create Rails - Distance between Rails

    Product(s): OpenRail Designer
    Version(s): 10.10+
    Area:  Rail Tools

This video demonstrates how you adjust and save the Rail to Rail Distance settings for Creating Rails in OpenRail Designer. The setting is now stored in the Design File Settings instead of in the Create Rails command.

Rail distances are typical for projects, so they can be controlled initially by configuration variables for the project (CIVIL_RAIL_CENTER_CENTER_DISTANCE). But there may be a need to adjust the distance for creating rails, therefore we can make the change and store the setting in the Design File Settings.

Note that the gauge and rail center to rail center settings are used and saved in the cant/superelevation. Cant is used when creating rails and sleepers it is the one that is used. If you must create rails with different gauge or rail center to rail center distance, you must create as many cant as needed.
