    Importing signs between standards

    Question:

How do I import a sign into a different standard in OpenRoads SignCAD?

    Answer:

    1) In OpenRoads SignCAD, pick File>New, set the Units of Measure: English and the desired Standard (ex: South Carolina). Press OK.

    2) Pick File>Import. Set the Files of type to SignCAD Files (*.sgn). Browse and select the existing .sgn file that you want to bring into the South Carolina standard and press Open.

    3) Press Yes to the message alerting you to the standards mismatch along with instructions for updating the fonts in the sign(s) to prevent the text from stacking when the file is saved.

    4) Window select the text in the sign(s), right click and pick Text Font and change the font (ex: change the D2K font to D). (see Text displays stacked - OpenRoads | OpenSite Wiki - OpenRoads | OpenSite - Bentley Communities).

    5) Save your file (File>Save As).
