Using a panel as a spacer between routing plaques in an overhead panel assembly

    Question:

How do I position two routing plaques (ex: Hospital and Exit Number) above a parent sign panel so that the Exit Number panel is right aligned and the Hospital plaque is in the middle of the "blank space" as shown in the image below?

    Answer:

To get the Hospital and Exit Number plaques positioned as shown in the image above, use either a Standard Sign panel or Rectangular Panel as a spacer between them. The size of the spacer panel can be adjusted to whatever size space is needed. In the example below, a 21"x30" spacer panel is used.

From the Preferences menu, pick Allow Panel Selection. Left click on the spacer panel and hold the mouse button to get the hand. Move the spacer panel between the Hospital and Exit Number plaques. Release the mouse button when the blinking black rectangle appears between the plaques.

With the Select tool, window select the Hospital plaque and right align it so that it is next to the spacer panel as shown below.
