How to import civil 3D alignment into OpenRoads/Rail/Site Designer

    Product(s): OpenRoads Designer
    Version(s): 10.+
    Area:  Import Geometry
Original Author: Marcus Blake, Bentley Technical Support Group

    Question:

I've exported alignments to xml in civil3D; how I can bring them into OpenRoads?

    Answer:

To import this data, use the Import Geometry command. In OpenRoads Designer, the tool can be found under the OpenRoads Modeling Workflow>Geometry Tab>General Tools>Import/Export

After invoking the command, navigate to the directory where the xml is stored and select it. We can also filter by file type in the lower right corner of the dialogue box.
