OpenRoads SignCAD will not launch past the splash screen

Question:

I have installed OpenRoads SignCAD and now when I double click to launch the program, I see the splash screen briefly and then it immediately goes away. How do I fix this?

Answer:

1) This has been reported with users who have the security virus scanner Sentinel, SentinelOne, or Cylance. If you are using a security virus scanner, then you will need to whitelist the OpenRoads SignCAD folder so that the OpenRoadsSignCAD.exe is not blocked. The default path is under C:\.

2) An outdated version of CONNECTION Client can also cause startup issues. Upgrade to a newer CONNECTION Client version (11.00.05.50 or above), log-in to CONNECTION Client and then launch OpenRoads SignCAD.
