Introduction:  Below are the instructions for loading the OpenRoads SignCAD to DGN Application in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer, or OpenSite Designer.

CONFIGURATION SETUP

Copy the SignCADToDGN.cfg file found in the C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads SignCAD 2023.00\SignCADToDGN folder into the MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer, or OpenSite Designer product config\appl folder.

Example OpenRoads Designer Path:
C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE 10.12\OpenRoadsDesigner\config\appl

Example MicroStation Path:
C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\config\appl

NOTE: It is recommended to remove the OpenRoads SignCAD.cfg file, which loads the .rsc files and older SignCAD MDL application, from the product config\appl folder.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE OPENROADS SIGNCAD MENU IN BENTLEY PRODUCTS
The OpenRoads SignCAD ribbon workflow includes icons to Import SignCAD File or Paste SignCAD File into the DGN file.

Import SignCAD File – Browse to select SGN file to import into the DGN file.

Paste SignCAD File – Paste sign from the clipboard into the DGN file. To add a sign to the clipboard, select the sign in OpenRoads SignCAD followed by Copy (or CTRL-C).
