Introduction:  The instructions and video below show how to create a stack arrangement in OpenRoads SignCAD.

A stack is an arrangement used to superimpose objects on one another such as text over a graphic.

Step 1: In OpenRoad SignCAD, pick Place>Arrangement.

Step 2: In the Arrangement dialog, select Type: Stack. Left-click on the workspace to place the Stack arrangement.

Step 3: Select the graphic and move it into the stack arrangement.

Step 4: With the graphic selected, pick Properties. In the Graphic Properties, click in the Spacing field and select the button with the three dots. With Use Simple Spacing selected, set the spacing = 0 for all sides. Left-click on the Spacing field to accept the changes.

Step 5: Select the row with the text by one of the corners and drag it into the stack arrangement.

Step 6: Select the stack arrangement by one of the corners and drag it into the panel.

Step 7: Select the Edit Arrangement tool to view the arrangement and alignment lines. The dashed blue lines show that the stack arrangement is middle and center aligned. The spacing triangles show the object spacing around each object and what is controlling. Pick the Select tool or any tool to turn off the arrangement and alignment lines.
