Question:
How do I create a street name sign with text placed over a graphic in OpenRoads SignCAD?
Answer:
A stack arrangement can be used to superimpose text over a graphic in a sign.
Step 1: Pick the Arrange icon on the toolbar and left click on the workspace to bring up the Arrangement dialog box. Select Type: Stack and press OK.
Step 2: Select the graphic and move it into the stack arrangement.
Step 3: With the graphic selected, right click and pick Object Spacing. Set the spacing = 0 for all sides. Press OK.
Step 4: With the Arrange tool, create a row and add the text to the row.
Step 5: Select the row with the text by one of the corners and drag it into the stack arrangement.
Step 6: Create a 24"x9" white standard sign panel with no border.
Step 7: Select the stack arrangement by one of the corners and drag it into the sign panel.
Step 8: Save the file.
