Question:
How do I get the pwc.log file for troubleshooting within ProjectWise?
Answer:
- Open pwc.log.xml in Notepad from these two locations:
- C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProjectWise\bin
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\ProjectWise\bin
- Do a find and replace all within the pwc.log.xml files.
- Find “warn” replace with “all”
- Hit “Replace All”
- Save files
- Delete the pwc.log from here: C:\Users\<user.name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\Logs
- Close PW and re-launch PW Explorer.
- Run through the workflow in PW Explorer that you are troubleshooting.
- As soon as error appears go to the pwc.log file here: C:\Users\user.name \AppData\Local\Bentley\Logs
- Copy the pwc.log to your desktop and send to Bentley
