I need to edit a station equation.  I know how to do this, but I get the following options for vertical and superelevation alignments. What are the differences in synchronize starting station and maintain station
difference?

Solution:

If your horizontal and vertical alignment begin at different stations, when you add an equation you would more than likely want to maintain that station difference.  If you want your horizontal and vertical stations to always correspond, then you’d want to synchronize starting stations.
