Question:

How can cogo points be created with the same point name as the horizontal alignment points?

Answer:

First go to Geometry>Horizontal Curve Set>Events.  The "Alignment Point to Cogo" option will adds the event points as cogo alignment points.

Next use the command, Geometry>Utilities>Assign Names.  Make sure the "Check for Coincident Points" option is toggled on.

Point names will then match in the alignment and in the cogo buffer.
