Questions: 

I would like to display the features from the DTM in the design file but they will not display.  Also, some of the features have red text, some have black and some have gray.

Solution: 

Features that are red have styles that are not defined in the style manager.  Features that are gray have styles that are not defined to display in plan view. Features that are black will display in your plan view without any problems.
