Grading Solver Retaining Walls

A few questions regarding retaining walls:

1. How can retaining walls be turned off in the grading solver, so they aren't generated?

2. How can retaining walls be identified if they aren't showing up as gray lines with the Retaining Walls layer turned on? The only indication that retaining walls are in use is coming from the 3D viewer, where about $1,000 is estimated as the retaining wall cost, but no lines show up in plan to identify exactly where these walls are being proposed by the solver.

  • Hi all, As the topic says, I'd like to know how can I prevent retaining walls from being generated by the grading solver in Revit (I'm using 2018). I know there are some situations when you really need to have some walls added by the solver, but in most cases, when grading to a flat surface, we don't need these elements. And if those walls are generated, it creates a lot of unwanted stuff that has to be modified afterwards. Some years ago I found out there is a small check box on the selection panel of wall elements. If it's checked, the element is added by the grading solver. If it's not checked, no elements will be added. Lag Ja Gale Song Lyrics
