Redefining a Property Boundary


Warning the following procedure CAN NOT be reversed by UNDO!

Option 1

You can redefine a property boundary by selecting the Property Boundary icon from the Layout tab of the ribbon menu.

Draw the new boundary by left clicking to define points and sides as desired.

 

When you select the final closing point you will see this message. Click <OK>.

The new boundary will be created and the current one removed.

Option 2

You can redefine a property boundary by drawing an area you would like to use as a property boundary.

With the area selected, Type Use as Property“. Press <Enter>

After you press Enter you will see this message. Click <OK>.


The new boundary will be created and the current one removed.

 

Warning the following procedure CAN NOT be reversed by UNDO!

Option 3

You can redefine a property boundary by importing an area or path you would like to use as a property boundary from a CAD file.

Select the Import File icon from the Import\Export tab of the ribbon menu.

From the File Import dialog, browse to the location of the CAD file.

Click <Open>, then <Upload Data>

 

When the file has uploaded, select the layer from the CAD containing the property boundary using the pull down opposite the Property Boundary label.

Click <Merge into existing>

The following warning will appear. Click <OK>

The new boundary will be created and the current one removed.
