SITEOPS in not supported on non-Windows operating and does not provide an installer or Desktop Launcher. However, with Java installed, user can open SITEOPS with the siteops.jar file on non-Windows platforms. 

1. Install Java, preferably 64-bit. This will associate *.jar files to Java.
2. Save the siteops.jar file from this link to your computer.
3. Click the siteops.jar file. This will act like the Desktop Launcher and open the Basemap Editor.

On MACs, for ease of use, we recommend that you place the siteops.jar file on the Dock. It is a file, not an application, so can only be placed on the right-side of the Dock, see image below.
