Featured LEARN Course: Modeling Beams, Columns, and Braces

Users of Bentley’s STAAD.Pro software wanting to learn techniques for modeling beams, columns, and braces will want to take advantage of Bentley’s training course called “Modeling Beams, Columns, and Braces.” In this course, you will learn how to take advantage of STAAD.Pro’s graphical user interface to generate beams, columns, and braces for a structural model.

• Save time by using the Structure Wizard to generate structural geometry from one of the STAAD.Pro templates.

• Use the Split Beam command and the Intersect Selected Members command to control node locations and force transfer between adjacent members.

• Model multiple members in a single step using the Generate toolbar and model single members using the Geometry toolbar.

All of the modeling tools available in STAAD.Pro will allow you to create a realistic structural model that will accurately predict the structural behavior once the model is loaded, analyzed, and designed.

For Bentley RAM users, we recommend our “Modeling Steel Buildings” course.
