Problem Description

The error below displays when attempting to save a connection:

Reason

The error occurs when connections are evaluated by editing information in the Connection Templates that are installed with the program. These templates are accessed by clicking on Home menu - Databases toolbar - Connections (see below). These are the template files that are used to design basic and smart connections. The program installed templates are not intended to be edited by the user.

Solution

Design the connection by first creating a joint (Home - Joints Toolbar - New) and then assigning a connection to the joint (Design - Assignment Toolbar - Assign). 

If you are attempting to edit the connection template, copy the connection template file to a User Group in the database and then edit the copied connection template.
