Update on sisHYD V8i and the upcoming sisHYD CONNECT Edition

Dear sisHYD users,

This message is to inform you about the upcoming release of sisHYD CONNECT Edition and to follow-up on the email you may have received recently about the new Bentley Lifecycle Policy with its details on our web page https://www.bentley.com/support/bentley-lifecycle-policy/

As you know, our sisHYD V8i product is officially no longer covered by Bentley support. The latest sisHYD V8i release was of version SS10 and added SES licensing. More details about these versions are in my earlier message from last February  Availability of sisHYD V8i SS10 and related required software products

As long as the Bentley SELECT server keeps running, you can use sisHYD V8i SS10 or an older version. Once the SELECT server has been taken offline, licensing will only work with V8i SS10. Bentley will formally announce, 6 months in advance, when the SELECT server will be stopped. This means that at this point in time, there are no worries about sisHYD licensing until at least June 2023.

I am pleased to announce that we are currently working on the first sisHYD CONNECT Edition (CE) release. This release is expected at the end of Q1 2023. If this would be delayed by weeks or even several months, you still do not have to worry about the licensing of your current V8i sisHYD product.

Once sisHYD CE is released, we will be replacing the old sisHYD V8i licenses in the SELECT contracts with new sisHYD CE licenses. sisHYD CE will be fully supported by Bentley. We will sisHYD on all SELECT contracts as it will enable all of us a smooth transition to the new and any following versions.

In the meantime, if you have any issues or questions, do not hesitate to contact our service desk.

With kind regards,
Theo van de Ven
