The Bentley Substation product team is pleased to announce the availability of Bentley Substation CONNECT Edition x64 (10.00.00.232) on Software Downloads.

If you would like the setup executable of Bentley Substation CONNECT Edition x64, please follow these steps to download it from Fulfillment Center:

    1. Sign in to connect.bentley.com               

    2. Choose Software Downloads from "My Support" section

    3. Select the Brand Promis.e and then select the Generation of CONNECT Edition

    4. Download the latest release by clicking on the arrow to expand the selection and then on Bentley Substation CONNECT Edition x64 version 10.00.00.232

New User Interface

• Ribbon bar user interface is a well-organized visual interface that offers fewer clicks and more efficient workflows.
• Pressing the <Space Bar> displays a popup menu of the commonly used tools right at your cursor for quick access.

Construction Drawings

• Automate the creation of multiple dynamic views using drawing boundaries.
• When a new design file is created as a result of defining a section cut you are now prompted to register the design file as a valid Substation page.
• Enabling the toggle, "Place title block in sheet model" in the Modify Page dialog will now apply the specified title block to all sheets in the design file.

Reports Leverage Table Elements

• Reports placed on design files are now created as table elements that allow you to easily manipulate them.
• Add or remove rows/columns.
• Adjust table / row / column sizes.
• Adjust alignment.
• Add borders and fills.

Formalized SDK

• You can now enable the Product SDK feature in the installer which includes documentation and example plugins.
• New event named "EventCenter.OnCustomize_UITable" allows you to predefine filters in the Insert Symbol, Insert Cable, and Insert Wire Link dialogs.
• New event named, "EventCenter.OnCustomize_BuildParentDeviceID" allows you to customize the device ID that you pass to the Device Properties dialog.

Substation has now adopted the CONNECT configuration system that allows you to…

• Define WorkSet templates to create new projects with desired standards.
• Share WorkSets with multiple Bentley products to support multi-discipline collaboration.
• Enjoy complete flexibility by setting configuration variables at the system, organization, WorkSpace, Workset, Role, or User levels of the configuration system to optimize your workflows and ensure standardization.

Connected Features

• CONNECT Advisor provides an in-product experience for access to personalized learning and help.
• Users have access to the CONNECTION Center for learn content, Bentley Communities, software downloads, and service requests management.

Platform

• 64-bit computing provides more capability to process complex point clouds, reality models and publish Adobe PDF documents and i-models.
• MicroStation mode allows you to launch Substation from a separate shortcut as a MicroStation session. This interoperability feature provides all the capabilities of MicroStation for editing design files.
