When a point or span is created, a path is also created which contains folders inside. I know you can renumber the folders (work locations) inside the path, but is there a way to renumber the paths? It would be a lot easier and would make my design more organized.

  • Thank you for your post.  Currently there is no functionality to support this.  It is a good suggestion, though, and one we can add to our list of enhancements to consider.  Feel free to update this post with more on how it could be most usefully implemented, i.e.,

would you only use numbers, or would it be practical to have the freedom to name them "Path A", "Path B", etc.?

should the user always be prevented from repeating a path number, or should it be an option?

  • It would be most usefully implemented by ordering points and spans for a big project. Numerical order would be easier to follow and more useful, as the alphabet only has 26 letters. A path cannot have the same number, just like points and spans cannot be identical. The reason for renumbering the paths is to organize bigger projects and not having folders that jump around because the path is a different number.
