Delete duplicate family assigment

Question

Hi, 
 sometimes I am stuck with duplicate family assigned to device. In most cases it is enough to "clean" the device (re-assing childs to to the family, that appears first in Device Usage Chart) and the duplicated family disappears automatically. 
 But sometimes it is not, like on the screenshot below. Is there a way to force delete the empty family?

Usually I find that if I had a duplicate family (caused when some devices in the project with the same Device ID have been assigned different families, for example, a child on page 2 has been assigned family X and a child on page 5 has been assigned family Y) once I drag and drop the children all into available slots on the same desired family, then when I close the family dialog and go back into it, the second now blank family is gone. If it doesn’t go away, sometime an Update Page command can cause the software to refresh and realize the undesired family should be gone now. 
 
Occasionally, I must check the symbols in other modes, like panel layout or wire diagram pages to find that the family is on those symbols and that is why it didn’t disappear. In those cases, I typically have to remove the family from the layout symbol, or re-insert the layout symbol.
