I get the following error when trying to add part numbers using the Terminal/Pig-Plug manger:
Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Hi Derek. What version of the software are you using (see Help > About)? Does this happen in all projects?
Derek, please select Options > Project Options > Balloon Settings while the problem project is open or selected. Is the Balloon Numbering By setting set to something other than "Project"? And perhaps your projects without the problem are set to Balloon Numbering By "Project"? Do you need to have the setting set to something other than "Project"?
I am still getting this error. I need to be able to place balloons by "Installation+Location"
So you need to be able to assign the same Balloon number to different parts in different locations and installations in the same project? So you could have a number of different part numbers all assigned to balloon number 1 in this project? Are the other projects that are not getting this error using this same Balloon setting Installation + location?
You said that you did a backup and restore for this project and did not see any change. Did you restore the project to the same name, over the top of the existing project, or did you delete the original project first before restoring?
As a test, please take a current Backup of the project with the error, and use the Restore command to restore it to a new project name, like TEST1. See if you get the same error. If you do, trying using the command to delete All Balloon numbers in the project in the Balloon settings dialog in Project Options. Once all current Balloon numbers are removed from the project, try the command again to see if you still get the error. This is just a test to help provide information about the issue, not a suggested solution, which is why I'm asking you to do this in a restored copy of the original project, not the actual project. If this error is due to some bad or corrupted record in the project, I would expect the error to go away at this point.
