Cant use same wire number even if installation and location is different. Is it even possible?

Question

I cant seem to use the same wire tag even if I change the installation and location to be different, shown in the picture below. I was assuming wire tags work like device IDs where you can have the same device ID if you have different installation/locations. So is it possible to have the same wire tag, or am I doing something incorrect?

Hi John. It is possible to duplicate a wire tag in a different installation/location. If you want to do this, one thing to check is the criteria that is used when the duplicate checking is performed. Go to Options > Project Options > Wire Settings > Label Preferences, and in the Duplicate label checking area, you want the Consider installation, location, and tag option to be selected.

Hi John, The Wire Tag don't work like Device ID, each Wire Tag has to be different as they cannot be same. So it is not possible to have same Wire Tag for two wire. But if you require that two wires need to have same Wire tag text then you can delete the Wire Tag to be replaced and then select Add Label by right clicking on the Wire where you need to have Wire tag similar to another Wire.
