Hi,
We are currently setting up Bentley Substation for our company.
The question we have come across is in regards to the displaying of balloons on our drawings.
We are adding accessory kits to all of our equipment.
When I add a balloon to the part it forces me to add 4 balloons to include the accessory kits.
Can I set it to only display the main balloon and still show all the parts of the accessory kit in the table?
Or, are we able to ‘hide’ the accessory balloons that get displayed on the printed page but have them still show up in the table?
Otherwise there are so many balloons that they go off the page.
Thanks
Hi Amanda. Currently all parts must have a balloon number before the balloons for a device can be inserted and all balloons get inserted. There are no settings that change this behavior. By default, parts will appear in the bill of materials reports regardless of whether they have balloon numbers assigned or balloons placed. If the report includes the Balloon field, you could filter the results by that field when running the report.
I have submitted enhancement number TFS 872511 for the ability to insert only some balloons for a device and to remove the requirement that all parts must have a balloon number before any balloon for the device can be inserted.
Hi Matt, please add me for this enhancement number.
