Terminal/Pin-plug manager

I add terminals on the schematic, they show-up in the term-pin-plug-manager as I would think; then I add some devices like a circuit breaker on the wires connected to the terminals, and then I am seeing terminals with device ID: CB1, etc...

is this supposed to appear here?

  • Currently, I see the Device ID for the items left and right (I get that now), but apparently they chose to not show the Device Tag'ID for the terminal itself...

  • I would guess that when you open this Terminal strip in the Terminal Manager that you get a warning message telling you that you have invalid Terminal connections.  This looks like you may have several devices connected in a daisy chain and the connections are going to the wrong CP's on the terminals.  If you are using a standard 5 CP terminal, then there are typically 1 Internal connections (I), 1 External connections (E), and 2 Jumper connections (J) on the terminal symbol.  You have connected the Circuit Breaker to a jumper, which is not allowed.  You can only Jumper to other terminals, as the Jumper connection is meant to model the connection on a wafer style terminal where you would need to use a comb or clip jumper to connect it to other terminals in the same strip, and you can't attach a physical wire to those connections to connect to another device.  If you fix the connections so that the circuit breaker connects to either an I or E connection., then the Terminal Manager will look better because you will have valid connections.

  • ok, thanks; now I understand a little more of this (why)...
