How do I find the insert connection point tool? When I look for it in the task side bar it is no where to be found.
Press and hold the icon for Symbol On The Fly then select Insert Connection Point from the flyout menu.
Or key in the shortcut E62
Since you mention "Symbol on the Fly" in the subject, I think you are looking for the tool for adding connection points to the Symbol On The Fly. That tool bar is actually a "fly out" tool bar, which you can tell by the little black triangle in the lower corner of the button. So if you press and hold the mouse button on that tool bar it will "fly out" or expand and you will see the other tools on that bar, including the one for adding connection points. You could also open that tool as a tool box so you can see all the tools all the time.
As a personal note, I don't like using Symbol on the Fly as a solution for just about any circumstance except when you only have 5 minutes to make a change and get the drawings out the door as a temporary fix. The disadvantages for using Symbol on the Fly instead of a real Symbol are many, and it really doesn't take that much longer to create a real Symbol that becomes part of your Symbol Library and has all the advantages of a full symbol.
