Promis-e suggested wire link enhancement

Apologies if this is not the correct place to post this, but I have found what I consider to be a beneficial enhancement when placing a wire link.
If a wire link is placed either deliberately or by error on to a wire that, when linked was to cause a wire tag conflict, an "Engineering Design Consideration" pop-up appears which asks "...which wire tag property to keep". This gives an option to choose which tag to keep, but does NOT give the option to "quit" placing the symbol once the conflict is shown.
So an example scenario could be a page of a project has "0V" as a wire tag and by accident a wire link is attached to another page with a wire tag "N". Currently there is no option to stop placing the symbol once the pop-up appears; the only option would be to choose either "0V" or "N". You would then have to delete the wire link then re-tag one side of the wire, and then re-insert the link elsewhere.
Also if the "E.D.C" pop-up reveals multiple wire tags (which I have found), there is no option to quit and then search each wire tag to decide which the correct one is or solve a wire problem.
It would be beneficial if the "E.D.C" pop-up had a quit option?
I hope this makes sense?

Hi Adam. This is a pretty old thread, and I'm not sure what I was referring to when I said a Cancel option would be included in promis.e V8i SS2. There are two requests related for the ability to cancel connecting different potentials/branches to preserve the original wire properties, they may be merged at some point. TFS 5975 is for when wires are connected by inserting/linking wire links, and TFS 394759 is for when wires are connected by drawing a wire to connect them. These requests have not been implemented. Would you like to be added to the requestor list for one or both?

Hi Matt,
Yes please add my name to both, it seems like an obvious enhancement.
Do you know how far away the next patch/release is? (weeks/months?). TFS 480975 is a real headache at the moment.

Adam, I've added you to those TFS items.
Regarding the SS8 Refresh, we're trying for October 2016.

Hi Matt,
Is there any news on the SS8 Refresh release date?
Is there a proposed fixture release available yet?

Release of the SS8 Refresh is now looking more like the end of November.
